loving you, it burns a million fireflies...

it hurts me.

i doubt i need to point out the fact that i sucked yesterday and didn't get any pics or vids up from the midway state concert. the truth is, my roof is being redone this weekend and all the clanging and banging didn't exactly put me in the best of moods...esp since it started at eight in the morning. grumble. buuuuut the concert was amazing. the envy opened for the midway state (again) and they were awes (again). i meant to show them some love and pick up their ep after the show, but a weird hipster dance party broke out once the midway state left the stage, and i got all wrapped up in the best of the 80s/90s dance music they were playing. 

oh well, next time. 

scratch that, i just realized their ep is on itunes. i'll let you know how it is.

the midway state did not disappoint. the show was amaze. the cover of 'bittersweet symphony' was unexpected and awes...though i kinda missed their cover of no doubt's 'don't speak'. they do an instrumental version, all the vocals are handled by the guitar. pretty impressive. i've posted a video of 'fireflies' below. the sound quality is a bit crap at the beginning, but it sorts itself out eventually. i had to do a buncha panning too because we were too close to them (as you know, i think it's only worth concerting if you can set your drink on the stage lol ;) ), but i tried to do it slowly to avoid any blair witch-iness. the end is cute, you can hear the whole crowd singing along...don't worry, i restrained myself, knowing full well if i hadn't it would be mostly my voice on this vid (note: if you click through and watch from the actual youtube page, the quality is much better. watching from the youtube page also gives you the ability to hit "hq" to watch in high quality).
